Its HDMI 1.4 input is compatible with DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and professional camcorders and can input up to DCI and UHD 4K video at 30 fps. It features a loop-through HDMI output for additional displays. The A8S also has a 3G-SDI input and a 3G-SDI loop output. The A8S offers a wide color gamut, supporting eight default Rec. 709 logs and six user logs. It also supports loading custom 3D LUTs via its USB port.
A power adapter is included as well as a built-in, dual-purpose L-Series/NP-F970 battery plate for when mains power is unavailable. When shooting outdoors, the included sun hood makes the screen easier to see by blocking any glare. An included articulating shoe mount attaches to the monitor's 1/4"-20 mounting thread and allows you to secure the A8S to your camera via a standard accessory shoe.
